Everything I read about Hydrocarbons tells me my engine is running rich.
NJ inspection says it should be 100 reads 132. Since they will not tell me what the numbers mean I will assume I am 32% over the limit that they want to see.
Checking the codes I only one showed 2-3-2 meaning engine is compensating for a rich or lean idle, and since it failed at idle they did not try to check at any other speed. So for things seem to be in agreement.
Since there is at least 60,000 miles on the O2 sensor, so I am going to start by testing it.
Where else do I look?
