Car lost power several times in the last month. Always when on the highway. It would idle but bog down and die if you tried to give it throttle. It would restart almost immediately. I threw a good fuel pump relay and a good radio suppression relay in it. Thought I might have gotten lucky until my phone rang today.
Same loss of power bogging down when throttle was applied. Only this time it would not restart. I took additional fuelpump and radio suppression relay to the scene but no joy. Had spark (although weak) and the pumps were cycling as normal.
Car was delivered at the house. I put a fuel pressure check on it and pumps were supplying 40 psi.
Sprayed starting fluid into it and it ran momentarily.
I am guessing the injectors are not pulsing. Tried a different RSR with no change and then simply jumpered the RSR socket with no difference either.
I hate to jump to the conclusion that it is the ECU, but it sure has the symptoms.
Anybody have any other ideas?
Thanks,
Randy
