After much preparation and help from the parts dept at Volvo of Keene NH to get the revised cable assembly, I tackled the job. Not easy but do-able. My biggest mistake was in releasing the front fuel tank strap anchor bolts. You can't get to the long rear ones, which would have made this much easier. Took lots of muscle to get them back in. Try to loosen them but not let them come out. The biggest help was tying a line to the handle end if the cable to pull through as the old cable comes out. Helps guide the new one over the tank and into the hole under the rear seat. In all. some time and much effort, total cost was@ $120.00. (the dealer was asking @$500.00+ in labor) Much luck to anyone doing this.
