Ignition arcing from distributor 200 1993

son's 1993 240 SW is stumbling and missing every now and then. I heard a 'snap' and saw a blue spark from the distributor. Replaced the cap and rotor and no spark now,but the cut-out and stumbling is still evident.
Should I also change out the wire set? Perhaps only the coil wire?
any suggestions?
