Scrolling on the brickboard...

Does anyone else hate how the scroll system works on the brickboard, after the last redesign?
The "copy and paste anywhere" boxes steal the focus of most methods of scrolling, and you end up scrolling to the bottom of the text box.

Is this something that can be removed? or altered, so it doesn't interfere with scrolling? It's really frustrating to have to scroll by dragging the bar up and down like it's 1997. Even page up/down doesn't work.

(I do love the brickboard though!)
