Ignition lock lube 200

Jag har fabriken Volvo låsa smörjmedel! (I have factory Volvo lock lubricant!)

So I splurged and bought some official Volvo lock lube* from IPD. Is it safe to use this (or something like WD40) in the ignition lock? It's been getting a little stiff and creaky, and they're expensive and apparently a pain in the skinkorna* to replace.

*Cute expensive little aerosol can, but probably no more effective than WD40. Easier to apply, though.

I don't know if the Google English>Swedish thing is accurate, but it's fun.
