bulb warning light / check engine light 200

the light comes on when i turn the headlights on. I need to know where to check. as far as i know they work. i replaced the neutral safety switch because i didnt have reverse lights. but when i first got this car 1 yr ago , it did this when turning on headlights. Also check engine light is on again, it was reset about 2000 miles ago. I also noticed a slight hesitation/ idling but it doesnt do it most of the time. is it possible for the check engine light to be on because of the lights?
