I am in the process of replacing my weber DGV and Canon manifold on my 62 544 that has a B 20 engine with a pair of SU HIF 6 from a 71 142S. I am using an old intake only manifold with no secondary throttle valves. I am doing the set up on the bench to simplify the transplant. The problem is the float level spec is different in the manuals that I am using. Clymer 140 and the Haynes for the 140 series says the float should be above the mating surface with the carb inverted. The Weber/SU Techbook shows the float below the mating surface. I would really like to get this right the first time, on the bench! Thanks in advance. Also, any good suggestions would be appreciated.
