1992 240 B230f - Recently swapped AW70 and Propeller shaft with a 1987 M47 w/ Propeller shaft that had a 1 year old Center Support Bearing.

I kept the rear for the automatic on the car - i have a M47 rear end to rebuild.

Before the vibration I had noticed an audible clunk on shifts from 1-2-3 and it was also felt from the back seat. Presumed it as a bad Torque Rod Bushing...
Yesterday, I heard a faint scrape+thud making me think the TRB had finally dejeted it's core rubber and the metal+metal clang was now present.
Pulled over and looked under to see that the TRB's were still in a decent shape. No metal+metal possible.
I grabbed the Propeller shaft and felt quite a bit of rotational play; kinda like the backlash in the pinion is too high. Then I drove over a slightly off-camber incline and I heard a louder scrape+THUD. Ever since then there has been a ressonant vibration coming from the Center Support Bearing to the Rear End Body Shell.

The vibration is far more pronounced in the lower gears and especially if you JUST entered a higher gear. Only in 5th gear is the vibration less persistent.

I'll be jacking the car up and doing a speed test tonight...

I know most will tell me to check the "searches/Archives" did that for 30 mins and I don't OWN a 940, of which is very prevalent within the searches.

Thanks for all who even give this some thought; I may even find the problem before I read this agian, but I really appreciate other people's different perspectives gained from experience.
