I've been using the 88 765 as a gas mileage test platform for the last two years without much improvement over the 22 mpg best that the car has always done on the road at 60 to 65 mph and 20 mpg around town combined driving. I did see 23.5 mpg one time while driving back from Kentucky at night and not exceeding 55 mph.
After reading you folks clobbering some fellow that posted a You tube video of a hydrogen generator and some fairly high mileage claims last year, I decided to see if my little space heater generator would run my Volvo (some of you might remember that I was trying to get enough gas output to run a torch.) After several months of electronic redesign and assembly, and electrode fabrication, I ran my first in car test this morning. The car was allowed to warm up, driven to a gas station and filled up, then the unit switched on, which placed the ECU air/fuel input in a user determined mode. I then drove for 40 miles, not exceeding 65 mph, with 15 miles stop and go and 25 miles of interstate with the ECU signal at the lowest level that the engine would run smoothly.
I refilled the tank with 1.53 gallons of gas for 40 miles in this initial test at 26 mpg. Since I did not see an amperaage draw over 10 AMPS,(no enhanced electrolytes, just tap water.) I am going to build a larger unit to try and up the amount of gas production.
