How do I wire my 244 Volvo so that I can pull a trailer?

I heard that I have to hardwire it ......I can run cables but have no clue about what I should buy (wiring kit?). I also have the Haynes Manual but it makes no mention of how to wire the car for a trailer.

Any detailed instructions (or links) would be much appreciated.
