Lower rear spring mounting bolts... bah 200

I went to remove my rear springs... of course, the damned bolt stud that attaches to that retaining plate just spins and spins.

If I crack the nut off, can I reuse that plate by putting a real bolt through it, or do I need to buy the whole shebang? I'd rather just use a plain old bolt with a head that I can put a wrench on anyway...
