I want to flush the transmission fluid in my wife's 1997 960. It looks like when I disconnect the top transmission line to the passenger side of the radiator, I will be left with a female fitting. I can't attach a hose to that. Does anyone know what kind of nipple (what thread type) I should be searching for to screw into the female fitting on the radiator that will leave me with a male end to put a hose on? I'd like to have the right fitting on hand before I open the line. It looks like it needs to be a fitting with two male ends, but I don't know what type of threads it should have.
Other than that, I'm planning on doing the flushing the same way I've done it on automatic 240's: pump two quarts out, pour two quarts in, pump two more out, two more in, etc., until it comes out clean and red.
Any information or advice would be appreciated.
