So I'm back!!!
I haven't been on this site, or had a Volvo 240 in over 3 years now..But having another 240 was always in the back of my mind. I disappeared from brickboard because I "sold my soul" to own a 1985 Jaguar XJ6, had numerous drug and alcohol problems,became a rolling stone,had severe depression and well I could just keep going on and on.

Anyways I found myself an amazing girl whom I've settled down with. About 2 months ago I was just perusing craigslist in Rhode Island and I found a buttercup yellow (I still LOL at that) 1983 Volvo 240 for $350. It has a transmission leak from one of the lines (Wow what a challenge..lol not) the Overdrive doesn't engage, it needs a new master cylinder and new struts all around. But I love the ever living daylights out of this car. Why? IT RUNS AND DRIVES with all of those problems...And actually runs great. I'm going to New England Tech for Automotive and the next thing we're going to be working on is Brakes and Suspension so I'll get the brakes and struts taken care of then...But man, guys let me tell you something...These cars (The 240s) are hands down the best cars ever made. They are easy to work on, reliable and safe and so fun to drive.

So my girlfriend has been driving my 1985 Jaguar XJ6 and one day while driving my Volvo it hit me - sell the Jaguar and get another 240. Let's admit it - anyone who has owned an old XJ6 knows they're running on borrowed time driving the car as a daily driver. It's only a matter of time before something catastrophic happens to a Jaguar. So I'm going to be picking up a Blue 1991 244 with a sunroof and all for $450. The guy doesn't want it anymore and has put 260K on it and he thinks the engine is going to die because it has a piston slap in the 1st cylinder. Well as soon as I sell my Jaguar at the end of the week on ebay here, I'm buying that Volvo and it'll be a Volvo house again! I'm so happy to be back!
