Pusher fan wiring 200 1990

Ok. So I finally added a pusher fan to ward off A/C warm up at stops. Got a boneyard unit from a 740 with the harness for $15. I took the brackets off because they are in the way for a 240. I used metal plumbers strap to mount on center vertical behind grill. I used the harness and found a nearby ground under the hood. I took the hot right off the compressor lead, upstream of the inline fuse, so they would work in tandem. No relay. Of course the fuse in the fuse box snapped right away. I saw that the old aluminum fuse and the holder were corroded so I replaced with a new 8A copper fuse. The fuse is holding but I don't trust it. The fuse holder is hot to the touch. Did a little search on the board and I see that people who have added a pusher fan have used a relay.

Where is a good spot to take the constant 12v from?

Can I just get a generic 15A or 30A relay from autozone or the like?

I'm sure this one has been asked before:
Who is the sadistic SOB who put the A/C and the power windows on the same fuse?
I think I'll disconnect the fan until I wire in a relay.

Thanks in advance.

Mike
