In reference to my earlier posting about intermittent ignition failure in my Volvo/Chrysler equipped car:

The ignition control unit is 1317873. Are there other control units that would work as suitable substitutes?

Also: What special handling is needed at the electrical connector to the ignition control unit? Dielectric grease? Special "sleeves"?
