Tranny flush 200 1993

I did the PM flush trick with the return line with a car I just picked up about a week ago.

I used three gallons of new fluid as usual and it seemed OK, running clear in the clear plastic drain line but I refilled the transmission right to the top of witness marks on the dipstick.

Being anal I wanted the fluid EXACTLY between the lines so I drained out a couple of oz today. I was shocked to see it looks just as nasty as the old tranny fluid I flushed a week ago.

Was three gallons not enough or is it picking up more crud in the old screen? Would it be worth trying it again or go for the full transmission service?
