Underhood zip ties mounted to firewall 700 1987

Hi folks,

I have noticed that many, perhaps all, of the big zip ties mounted to the firewall that hold the engine wiring are broken. The wires simply rest on the part of the zip tie still attached to the firewall.

Why would these be broken? Heat/age? My engine wiring harness seems to be original.

Can I replace them?
