164 can't get key in the door lock 140-160

This morning I tried to open the driver's side door and the key can't go in. I think the small sprung cover inside broke and it needs to be straightened out.

Has anyone come across this problem before that can tell me how to fix it? Is this something a locksmith can fix?

Someone told me to just swap the driver side lock for the passenger side lock but that still leaves me with a broken lock.

Thanks for any help or info you can provide.
