Help - can't get my 940 to run and due to go on holiday 900 1991

My trusty 940 Turbo wouldn't start so I tested the fault codes. In number 6 socket (Ignition circuit) shows 1-1-1 so fine.

Number 2 socket the LED is on all the time. It goes out now and again when you here the fuel pump run for a second. Car will only start when the light is off but runs briefly then the light comes on again.

I did get it to stay off for 10 mins and then the codes read 1-1-1 and all the injectors / actuators fire as the should.

I've changed the fuel pump replay and the suppression/injector relay but no difference.

If I hold the relay contact in the pump runs so the pump appears to be OK.

I can't be sure but I think the injectors are turning off when the code led is on (not flashing, on all the time).

Has anyone had the same issue with the LED staying on? I know when the car is not going to start as the LED lights up. If I leave the car for a day it will run for a few minutes before the LED comes on, then a few seconds and eventually the LED won't go off.

I've tried unplugging the ECU and have also opened it up and sprayed it with freezer spray but made no difference.

I'm really out of ideas now and we are due to go on holiday in a week or so.

I've tried asking on Volvoclub.org but nobody seem to know of this fault.

Thanks Rob

Thanks Rob
