850 wagons good or bad?

The 940 wagon didn't work out. I drove for 45 minutes and the guy didn't remember I was coming. Then went back inside supposedly to move his dogs out of the area. 45 minutes later he hadn't come back out I called it done, and went home.
Now we are looking at a couple of 850 wagons, one with allegedly only 93K on it.
I wouldn't know an 850 if you knocked me down with it and parked on my foot.
I have seen a couple of posts in the archives about them. Some people say they are totally different than, the 240's/740's/940's. How bad are they? If there is documentation on it I can keep it breathing, if there is a support list here we will both be hurt less during repairs.
I am going to look at a 95 850 GLT with 93K on it, then one with 123K. Both for about 2K$.
Any help you can share would be greatly appreciated.
Paul
