Replacing Heater Core on 91 740 Turbo 700 1991

Hope someone can give me some info before I get started on replacing the heater core in my sons 91 740 Turbo wagon.

First of all, I need to verify what kind of system I have. The car has A/C. I don't know if it is considered to have ACC(Auto Climate Control). Does that mean it uses a particular heating program to control temp, etc? The controls on this car appear to be pretty simple. Blower knob, defrost/hi/low/mix knob, AC button, Recycle button. The answer to this question seems to have a direct bearing on the complexity of the job of replacing it. Am I correct.

The manuals I've looked at aren't very clear on which models they are talking about. They seem to differ not be clear about which model they are talking about. For instance, in Chiltons, they make it sound like a slam dunk while others have you pulling steering wheels and god what knows what else.

I'd really like to know a bit about what's what before I start tearing the whole dash apart.

Any advice or tips would really be appreciated.

Al
