AC and blower questions 200 1993

The best 245 of mine, the black 93 has some strange AC problems (maybe not strange to you at all). At 92F ambient temperature, blower fully on, the center right vent blows cold air while the center left one blows warm air. When I looked under the hood, the accumulator (drier) is cold and sweating. At first, I suspected that the hot coolant valve is not closing. By driving it at highway speed with blower on and thermostat on cold, it does not blow hot air. I never have the pleasure of doing the heater core or blower job yet. So, I do not know how the system works, how the air passages are routed. Anybody know what’s going on in there? Am I looking at a AC evaporator job or something else?

A side note: I was driving in a very good part of the town today. As I stopped at a red light, I felt that someone is looking at me (or her, my car – the red 245 with a fresh paint). As I turned my head to the left lane, I saw a nice young mom driving an Accord with a little kid seating at the back seat. Strange thing is that she smiled and waved at me and was trying to say something to me. But, the light turned green and I took off. I bet that she was longing for a 245 (most likely she got one before and loved it). Strange that how people trust us – 245 drivers! What a day!
