I hope someone can help with this problem. My 89 240 with 150K miles keeps stalling out when put into gear (i.e. reverse or drive). It will start up every time, but if you rev the engine, the engine check lite comes on (sometimes) and the car will usually stop/stall out. Now this problem started about a week ago, but became worse. I checked all of the usual things, like vacuum lines, the flame trap, fuel injectors (to listen for a leak), and cannot find any usual. Again the car will run fine at idle for a while, then will run at a lower rpm, the be fine.

If any one has had this issue please advise on what to do, thanks for any help/advise. I may not be able to respond back until this Sunday (8-16-09).
