Vacuum hose replacement advice 900 1993

I am planning on replacing the old vacuum hoses under the hood of my '93 945t (170k), and am looking for advice from more experienced folks here. I purchased silicone hoses in the various internal diameters needed, and some new clamps. Are there any "gotcha's" that I should be aware of? Any particular piece of hose that I should'nt replace? After reading through the FAQ's and various other posts on here regarding vacuum hose replacement, it seems like a job that I can tackle with my limited experience. I'm new but I'm learning!

As an aside, are there any members near me (near Pittsburgh, PA) that would be willing to become a wrenchin' buddy? Much of what I read here would make so much more sense if I had someone with more experience who can show me what I should be doing.
