AC fix... is it really a simple do it yourself job? 900

The AC on my 1995 940T is running just slightly cool instead of cold.

I looked all around the FAQs, but it seemed the more I read, the more confused I get.

I assume that the 1995 cars came with the correct charge of R134... so most likely it's a matter of topping up to add more?

I looked around on youtube and the procedure looks very easy. I called Schucks and they said it's the sort of thing the average handyman can do. But reading the FAQs made me think it's something I should have a mechanic or AC specialist do.

I'm guessing that since the AC still runs a little it's not a broken weld in the electric motherboard. But I don't know if just trying to add more R134 with the Schucks easy system would be the answer... after reading about all the other variables that cause AC problems.

Once again it's the IGNORANCE of not knowing what to do that is the hardest part of any repair... not the actual nuts and bolts. At least that's how it works for me... where I'm usually afraid of doing more harm than good.

Thanks for any kind of input on how to proceed...
