90' 240 idles fine but will not pass 2000 rpm 200

I am having a problem with my 240, seems to idle fine but upon trying to accelerate it will rev up to about 1800 to 2200 rpm range then drop back to idling range. Have replaced fuel pumps and throttle control as the computer read that was the problem, but still not working. Any suggestions?
