Are there any tricks or tips to removing the intake manifold on a B30 (carbureted) and replacing the gasket? I've discovered that mine seems to be leaking around the gasket. I'm not sure how - or what the tiny bubbles around the gasket are. I started it up the other day and some smoke (?) seemed to be coming from the intake manifold. I thought initially that maybe it was a leaf or stick or something burning off the exhaust manifold but then I saw tiny bits of smoke coming from other parts of the manifold towards the front. Looking closer there were tiny little bubbles where the gasket meets the manifold. I stopped the car immediately.
What could be bubbling up? Excuse my ignorance on this matter. I'm thinking I need to replace the gasket? Not a big deal since I need to rebuild my carbs anyway. Could an intake manifold leak be the reason my rear carb isn't working much at all? Or contributing to it anyway?
