Something else to check on 91-93 240s 200

Ran into an "interesting" AC failure on Friday, and as it turns out it was nearly a failure of the power steering as well. The metal portion of the AC hose coming off the back of the compressor and going across the engine. Basically, the metal AC pipe at the back of the compressor had been rubbing against the rubber power steering pressure hose with engine vibration.

The result is $200 in parts for two new lines and an AC recharge. Basically, the rubber PS pressure hose rubbed through the metal wall of the AC pipe resulting in a hole. The PS pressure hose was nearly worn through as well.

Note that I do have an aftermarket AC compressor along with a R-134A conversion so the hose/pipe routing might be a little different from stock. Once the new hoses are in place, I will check for interference between them, if they are rubbing, I'll conjure up a spacer of some sort to prevent this in the future.

Just an FYI.
