Anyone else using the Flex Disc/Joint from FCP? 200

3 Months ago I was about 20 miles from a Flex Disc failure indicated by loud thumping... typical.
So I ordered a new one from FCP and installed it from the Bentley illustrations.
Yesterday, while adjusting the clutch cable, I glanced at the Flex Disc and noticed all the stretch spans of the rubber had the clean white tension cords busting out. Are these things just plain CRAP??
I'm still running my 3.73 rear end, which should be less torque resistance than the 3.03 that's supposed to be used.

Guess I'm about to see how well FCP is on their warranties... LOL
