Hello,
Just discovered this forum and this is my first post. I purchased a 1956 PV 444 at the beginning of this year, drove it as is for a while, then decided to restore/upgrade the car to a daily driver. The car was originally an Arizona car, then spent the last 5 years in Pennsylvania until being transported to me here in Southern California. I'm nearing completion now and will hopefully have it back on the road in the next couple weeks. It's quite a transformation. I'm going to post one image now of how it looked at the beginning of the project. Having spent most of its life in Arizona, and just 5 years garaged in Penn., it had VERY little rust. Everything inside is in Swedish and kilometers/hour. It had a B14A engine and 6volt electrical, but I've upgraded to a B20/12volt system. The interior was in great condition, so I've only had to do minor work there. Stripped it down and had it re-painted from Dove Gray to another original color offered at the time, a wonderful maroon red metallic. Once I get my photos organized, I will post them on Photobucket and link it from here in a later post.
Cheers!!
Christopher
