I'm still trying to finish my '82 245 D24 diesel to B23F gas conversion project. As some of you may know I installed the complete A/C system from a '92 240. I have a cruise control setup from an '83 that I'd like to install into this but I don't have a place to mount the cruise control actuator. It's typically mounted on the firewall next to the wiper motor but now the A/C accumulator takes up most of that area. So I talked to a local Volvo guy and he said that since my car has a cable driven speedo that I might be able to covert it because of some kind of impulse signal from the electronic speedo to the later style cruise setup. I don't have the electronic speedo and my rear diff doesn't have the sender for the speedo either. So, has anyone here done such a conversion? Any and all input will be greatly appreciated.
