88 240 cranking, but not starting-HELP 200 1988

My 240 has dug in its heels and will not start.

I replaced the entire wiring harness from the computer, to the ICU, alternator, injectors, and sensors, etc. (the old one exhibited the typical disintegration and I was able to get the donor wiring in good condition from another 88 240, which I have and am parting out (severe body damage))

It started after re-installing everything Friday. Died when I stopped somewhere less than a mile away. Then had trouble re-starting, ran down the battery, was able to charge the battery, it started fine, and then took the car out and did a little shakedown drive stopping it and it restarted fine. The one thing I did notice was that it didn't fire up immediately as it generally does (took a little cranking rather than firing up immediately.)

But this morning, It fired up reluctantly, then before I even made it 30 feet down the driveway the car died and would not re-start, and has not started again all day.

I have checked the fuses, all the connection points on the new wiring harness, swapped out the Fuel Pump Relay, have not checked the connections for the intank pre-pump yet. And all the air intake hoses are afixed firmly.

I'm not sure what else I should try or what might be a problem. I'll provide feedback for suggestions, and would also appreciate it if anyone can point out other posts that could provide guidance. I hadn't seen any posts that match my situation.
