What is involved with accessing the brake backing plates? 900

I have never had to remove the hubs in the later 7/9 series cars. I need to grab the brake backing plates off of a 93 944 at the pick and pull and wonder what I need to take along to get it done.

On the front pull the rotor, remove the caliper, remove the nut on the hub and I am at the backing plate?

I assume a breaker bar and the big socket set are called for but anything else special?

The rears would require the rotor and the emergency brake shoes to be removed and then the axle? Is the axle similiar to the 240 with three or four bolts holding the retaining plate in place?

I have had problems in the 240's getting the rotors off the rear because of the shoes being down behind a ridge on the inner rotor surface. Same issues on the 900 cars?

Thanks for your help.

Randy
