Can any of you please post the width of the rear fold (forward) down back seats from a 740 Wagon ?

I am thinking of trying to install a fold down rear seat in the rear of my 1984 VW Vanagon to accommodate a rear deck bed that would fold into rear seating to carry around some other hosers with me when I am not camping.

I was thinking the rear bench seat out of a 740 Wagon might fit in nicely.

The beam (width) of the rear compartment in the VW is a shade over 5 feet. 5 feet one half inch.

Keep your stick on the ice eh ?
