My 71 145 does not have shoulder belts for the middle row. I'm thinking about picking up some from a later 72-74 145 and installing them. But a few issues present themselves:

Which years received the middle row shoulder belts? From googling some images, it looks like 73 & 74 received retractable belts, and 72 received non-retractable belts. However, some images of 72 145's show no shoulder belts at all while others show what look like retractable ones. Any clarification on this would be great. I know a guy in Maine who insists his 70 145 has shoulder belts!

Now to the work involved: how hard will it be to weld in that verticle rod on a 71 145? And will I be able to install the retractable belts or should I go for the non-retractable ones?
