power window motor only turns in one direction 200 1989

just picked up an '89 240DL and the LR power window only goes down. I had to disconnect the motor and lift the window/regulator manually to get the window back up.I was wondering if you can repair the bosch motors or is it easier just to replace it.
I disconnected the switches so I wouldn't accidentally lower it again.I also ruled out the switch because I tried a couple different ones and they all did the same thing, down but no up.
