Okay, first let me say I'm a novice with electrical issues. That said, I'm trying to troubleshoot a problem with my fuel gauge on my 444, which I've upgraded to a 12 volt system. My fuel gauge reads full all the time, so, my first question is, should the gauge read full even when the ignition is off? Second, I tested the ground at the back of the gauge. The terminal with the green wire, which is toward driver's side, gave me a very bright read on my fancy continuity tester. The terminal with the black wire, on the passenger side, gave me a very weak light, barely a flicker. I got that same read at the fuel sender in the trunk- weak! So, is this a bad gauge? If there is another way for me to test this, please let me know that as well. Could not find this particular issue in the archives.
Thanks everyone in advance!
Regards,
Christopher
