vac work and still this oil thing 900 1997

all right guys let me lay the history.

recently replaced intake manifold gasket, all vacuum hoses with new silicone hoses from stylin motors, took off elbow vac block from intake and sealed with sensor safe gasket stuff (thx to whomever posted about this) regretfully I forgot to replace the o ring that's on that block but oh well I'm sure I got a good seal with gasket.

Oil filler gasket is newish, oil breather box was replaced while I did intake man gasket, with new upper hose. Lower hose from this box going into area above oil pan was not replaced because I neglected to order. I have seen leakage from where this lower hose goes into block (above oil pan). Flame trap maint done. And...

I'm still getting some oil coming up through filler cap and around intake hose going into throttle body. What could be possibly causing this? I thought I have taken care of all except that f***** lower hose coming from breather box to block.

On current oil change I'm using about 3/4 qt in approx 5000 miles. Mobil 1 0w40 synth. Any ideas? thanks for reading.
