I recently replace the timing belt on my 90' 240. Everything went well, engine started right up, restarted did the necessary tension adjustments. However I discovered sometime during the belt swap, my radiator cracked at the upper hose flange. Left the car sit until new radiator arrived. I installed the new radiator today then went the start and just cranks rechecked all the connections and cranks a few more times, then it started. Everything sounded okay, until about 2 minutes of idling the engine just shut off? I pulled the upper timing cover off, belt looks okay?
Does a hard start / engine shutting down sound consistent with a jumped timing belt?
Note: I installed a new odometer gear while waiting for the radiator to arrive.
