V8 Ford into 68 122 del tre! 120-130

Well, best laid plans and all. For no good reason the motor let go in my lincoln. I had heard that the 4.6 was very reliable, apparently not the head gaskets. So, rather than get into that motor, I set out to fix the car I took off the road when I got the lincoln. It had been sitting for 2 years and took 2 months to get ready to drive. It's still sitting btw. Anyway, that story is here!

Soooo, with the marquis patched up, I could get back on the Folvo. My main focus at this point is getting systems hooked up and making it a "car" again. Steering seemed simple enough, and in fact it was. I had the gas tank in, so running the fuel lines appeared to be next. That was until, I thought better put in exhaust to be sure nothing interferes. I am working on the tail pipes at present, lot of welding but it's going pretty well. Temps are finally down to the 70's so a trip the the u pullit is in order! This be where we at this week!

Part One of the story here
Part two is here
