the best struts/shocks? 200 1991

What are the best shocks?
I am of the mindset to go with Borg-sachs struts but I believe the quality might not be the same since the takeover.
The Bilstien struts on my '91 240 wagon have worn out and need replacing after 3 yrs and 40,000 miles while the Borg struts on my '89 240 wagon which were replaced almost 6 yrs ago are still in great shape. The Borg struts also provide a smooth yet more controlled and slightly firmer ride than the Bilstiens.
I question Sachs shocks present quality since the sachs rear shocks on the '91, which provided a great ride for a few months, now after 15,000 are weakening.
I checked several sites where there were a number of different varieties of Sach and Borg struts, even a set of hydraulic Borg struts.
I'm tempted to go with the Borg hydraulics. Are these the original struts or should I just go with either the low or higher gas pressured Sachs?
I don't have a clue what type of Borg strut was installed back in 2003 and would love to find a set that would provide the same ride and longevity.
