1992 instrument cluster

Speedometer is erratic on my 1992 960. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Speed sensor in diff replaced, all wiring and connectors checked. I believe the problem is in the inst cluster and would like to replace it. I cannot find one from a 1992, but can find from 1993. Does anyone know whether 1993 will work okay, or does anyone know source for a 1992?
