My 90' 240 left me stranded tonight. When I first started the car today it seem to struggled to crank over like the battery had been drain somewhat. Intermediately, my volt meter has been staying at start up levels (11-12v) until I rev the engine? Drive belts are newer and seem tight. The car ran fine. Then went to start up, engine cranked (barely) then starter clicked a couple times, no crank thereafter… Volt meter drops when trying to crank yet lights don't seem to dim whatsoever? walked home, try jumping the battery to no luck, try to jump off the remote starter switch, still wont crank.
Since the car is in an aright place for the night. I liked try a few more things before I call a tow-truck. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated
I recently installed a new tach gauge, could a bad ground/ wiring cause something like this? Other things I recently done: timing belt, water pump, new radiator.
Thanks.
