Well, I did pull the instrument cluster to replace a bulb, but I swear, I did nothing else! This problem happened late last night, so I haven't had a chance to do much trouble shooting. I tried spraying starting fluid into the intake manifold, but absolutely no firing. The problem seems to be a lack of spark. Fuses and plug wires are OK, but I haven't checked yet to see that the cam is turning (won't have a helper until this evening).
Any suggestions for for an easy fix? Could I have dislodged something behind the cluster when I removed it?
One more thing. This car has an aftermarket alarm system (I know nothing about the brand or configuration). Do most these disable the ignition system?
I'd appreciate any tangible suggestions, or failing that, your sympathy!
Thanks, Glen!
PS - The brake job (requiring the replacement of one rear caliper) went perfectly. None of the bleed fittings broke!
