Cam seal Leaked then stop after a while..what the heck !!! 700 1991

Well , I changed the front cam seal last month and within a week the area by the front exhaust had an oil "sweat"..Darn I said ..maybe I should have gone OEM on the seal..I used the red Elring . I went as far as getting an OEM seal..was it expensive $27...Not having the time to redo I kept cleaning and checking the area for the "sweat" ..Then it stopped sweating..So now I am thinking that it could be due to the fact that I cleaned the breather box and flame trap system !!
