This is for an 86 Volvo 745 that has had the wiring harness replaced in the last four years. Began to notice last week a slight hesitation in lower gears when accelerating, but thought it might be time to replace plugs. Later that week I was driving along and the vehicle cut off while going down a hill. Pulled over and it restarted right away. Later the same afternoon while thinking about what it could be it happened again, the vehicle just cut off while driving and this time wouldn't restart. When I crank it, it sounded like it wasn't getting fuel. I had had the in-tank pump and filter replaced a year ago, and noticed that when the key was turned to pre=crank there was no "whir" from the main pump. Replaced fuel pump relay with known good spare, no change. However I noticed now when I try to crank it it has a very weak sound, indicating no fuel. Checked cam to make sure timing belt hadn't broken, it hadn't. Apparently no current coming to fuel pump. Electrical issues are not my forte at all. Any ideas or a diagram available on what feeds the main fuel pump and where I can begin to start checking wiring?
