Head pipe exhaust sealing issues 200

Just could not get the headpipe joint @ the exhaust manifold to seal.Changed gaskets & even put in a good used exhaust manifold.Ordered a new headpipe from Volvo.Still leaking.Then checked the surface of the 2-hole end @ exhaust manifold end of head pipe with a straight edge ruler.Turns out the center wall between the 2 holes is higher & causes a gap that no gasket can cover.Filed it down with emery cloth with a steel block until the straight edge ruler is perfectly flat.Rechecked with the straight edge & was perfect no gap.re-assembled & now have no exhaust leak @ headpipe / exhaust manifold joint.
