New Water Pump Leaking........ 700

I put new water pump. I had to do it twice, because the o ring on red line would move every time I do it.

It's leaking from that area. What do you guys think. Did I tighten belt too much?
Where does this red pipe lead to? Is there easier way to by pass this by putting a rubber hose? How do I do it properly? FAQ not helping.
