Greetings fellow bricksters:
About a week ago my ’88 780 V6 just cut out when I was slowing down to stop. It didn’t sputter; it just suddenly cut out at about 10mph. It started right up and I didn’t have any more problems with that until today. The engine shut off three different times in the course of about five minutes of driving. Each time it happened at about 5 or 10mph when slowing down to stop and two of the three times it started right up. One of the times the engine would turn over two or three times and seem like it started for an instant then die. This happened about three times and then it started. I was able to get home and park it. The last two miles were fortunately uneventful. Other than this, the engine runs smooth. Being intermittent, it may add difficulty in troubleshooting. I know it’s not much info but any ideas on what to suspect and how to test are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael
